PolyVascular Welcomes Steven Girouard, PhD to its Board of Directors

PolyVascular, a pioneering company focused on developing the world’s first polymeric, non-surgical pulmonary valve for pediatric patients, is excited to announce that Steven Girouard, PhD, an accomplished medical device executive and consultant, has joined its Board of Directors.

Steven brings a wealth of experience to PolyVascular, with a career spanning leadership roles at major medical device companies, including Johnson & Johnson and Guidant, as well as the Cleveland Clinic. He most recently served as President & CEO of Securus Medical, where he successfully guided the company through multiple rounds of financing, clinical trials, and FDA clearances before its acquisition by Boston Scientific. Steven has also held investment positions with Oakwood Medical Investors and Omega Funds, and currently serves on the boards of several other venture-backed startups. His background includes an impressive 50+ U.S. patents and a robust portfolio of peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.

Steven holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University and MS and PhD degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
